Who we are

The Demuru family from Ilbono, a small town located in Ogliastra, has owned an oil mill since 1700. We have been oil millers for 6 generations, which testifies to our long tradition in the olive oil sector.

The extra virgin olive oil from Oleificio Demuru is obtained by pressing olives of the renowned "Ogliastrina", "Bosana" and "Semidana" varieties, harvested by hand (picking) in the optimal ripening period. The olive groves located in the hills of Ogliastra, in the central-eastern area of ​​Sardinia, benefit from ideal climatic and environmental conditions, which give the oil unique characteristics, enhanced by the ancient production techniques.

After a careful selection, the best olives are immediately sent to the mill for processing, using exclusively physical and mechanical means. The reduction of storage times and rigorous compliance with the processing phases guarantee a high quality product.
